Ertunc Ozcan Award-Winning Project and Idea Competition

 Participation Criteria 

Target Audience: Students, academics, and professionals. 

Team Size: Applications can be submitted individually or as a team. 

Project Topics and Themes 

Themes: Specific themes related to physiotherapy and rehabilitation technologies, such as virtual reality, artificial intelligence applications, wearable technologies, robotic systems, etc. 

Innovation: The most important criterion for project evaluation is innovation and originality. 

Application and Evaluation Process 

Application Requirements: Applications should be sent to icptt2024@gmail.com 

Deadline: The deadline for applications is September 15, 2024. 

Evaluation Criteria: Criteria used by the jury (innovation, application potential, technical proficiency, presentation quality, commercialization potential). 

First Stage: The first stage will be an online application. The top 10 projects that pass the preliminary screening must be presented physically at the Congress. 

Awards and Incentives 

Award Categories: Awards will be given for first, second, and third place. 

 Project Presentation and Jury Process 

Presentation Format: 5-minute presentations will be held during the Congress. 

Jury Members: A 5-person jury consisting of engineers and physiotherapists has been established. 

Ethical and Safety Rules 

Ethical Standards: Projects must adhere to ethical standards. The responsibility for this lies with the applicant. 

Safety: The safety of patented projects is the responsibility of the applicant. 

Education and Support 

Workshops: Workshops or seminars will be organized to assist participants in project development. 

Mentoring: Mentoring will be provided to participants 

Application Conditions 

The abstract application should cover the following sections and consist of no more than 750 words. 

1. Topic and Purpose 

o Scope: Clearly state the main topic and purpose of the project. 

o Problem Definition: What problem does the project address or what need does it fulfill? Clarify this question. 

2. Innovation and Originality 

o Innovation: Highlight how the project differs from existing solutions and what kind of innovations it offers. 

o Originality: Clearly state the unique ideas and approaches of the project. 

3. Method and Approach 

o Methodology: Provide information about the methods, techniques, or technologies to be used in the project. 

o Implementation: Give a general overview of how you will implement the project and the steps you will follow. 

4. Expected Results and Impact 

o Results: Explain the expected outcomes of the project and how these outcomes will be measured. 

o Impact: Indicate the potential impact of the project on physiotherapy and rehabilitation technologies. 

5. Presentation and Communication 

o Clarity and Conciseness: Write the summary in a brief, clear, and understandable manner. Highlight the main idea and important information rather than technical details. 

o Language and Format: The language should be at an academic and professional level, with attention to spelling and grammar. 

6. Limitations and Risks 

o Limitations and Risks: Provide a brief description of the project’s limitations, risks, and possible challenges. 

7. Relevant Information 

o Target Audience: Provide information about the target audience of the project or the users for whom it is designed. 

o Previous Work: If relevant, provide a brief overview of previous work or projects related to the project.
